WESTBOROUGH Marion E. (Beedle) Ayers, 93, of Westborough, died on Monday, Feb. 4, 2008 at home.
She was the wife of the late Joseph B. Ayers. Born in Toronto, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Harry Woodward and Nancy (Hall) Beedle. She was educated in Boston at Girls Latin School and attended Simmons College. Mrs. Ayers was employed as a secretary for her husbands accounting company prior to her retirement. She has been a resident of Westborough since 1981 and was dedicated to her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Redding of Westborough, Shirley Morrison of Barnstead, N.H. and Nancy Birri and her husband, Anthony, of Westborough; three grandchildren, Suzanne Redding, Julianne Mauceri and Kelly Redding; a nephew, John Beedle of Franklin; and seven great-grandchildren.
Celebration of life gatherings will be held on Friday, Feb. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 9, from 2 to 5 p.m. at her residence, 9 Lyons St., Westborough. A private graveside service will be held in the Charleston Four Corners Cemetery, Charleston Four Corners, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to VNA Care Network and Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608-1280; or online at [email protected]. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St., Westborough.
