Frances Gaynelle Boutchyard Rush, 92, of Westminster died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at the Otterbein Nursing Home in Lebanon, Ohio. Born Aug. 22, 1915, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Ada Grimm Smith Boutchyard. Twice married, she was the wife of Charles Robert Sherrer Jr., who died in 1954; and of Willard C. Rush, who died in 2006. She was a graduate of Western High School in Baltimore. Before retiring, she had worked for the Juvenile Court Circuit Division in Baltimore City, was a policewoman for six years, and retired in May 1979 from the Sykesville Correctional Facilities. She was a member of the Westminster United Methodist Church and of the Maryland Classified Employees Association. She enjoyed spending time with her family. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, with her pastor, the Rev. Laura Easto, officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. (Carroll Co Times - 1/8/2008)
