Clara received a pension for herself and her daughter Emily "Emma" Sarah Gross (1859-1949) on the death of Nathan Gross 18 Jun 1864 at Petersburg, VA. Then she married Harry Mitchell who had been wounded in the lung, captured and paroled at Second Bull Run in June of 1862 and discharged for disability in 1863. He received a pension in 1870. Emma married about 1879 and named her children Harry and Clara.
