Kristie was born on September 16, 1986, the first daughter of Jeff and Jane Larsen. She grew up in Centerville, Utah and graduated from Viewmont High School in 2004. Her childhood passions for animals, poetry and people carried Kristie into young adulthood. At the time of her death, Kristie was involved in all of those wonderful youthful pursuits that brought her joy: She was recently engaged to Kharas Gallegos, had only days ago celebrated her 20th birthday, and had just added two more pets to her home-- her dog Aris and her cat Star. She was an accomplished equestrian, spending countless hours training and caring for her horse, Lady. She was attending the Salt Lake Community College while also working at Sizzler and preparing for her impending marriage. Kristie, a member of the LDS church since her youth, charted her own course that allowed her to develop a deep love and compassion for all she came in contact with during her life.
Kristie is survived by her parents, her sister Britney, brother Ty and her fiancé. They, along with her loving grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers will miss her terribly. She was preceded in death by her Grandma Lyn, Grandpa Farrell and her beloved dog Lacey.
