He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Leonor Garcia Diaz; daughters, Judith Diaz-Collier and husband, Ivan, of St. Louis and Patricia Diaz Ingraham and husband, Richard of Denver; 4 grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Adelfa and Braulio Alonso.
