He retired from Urick Foundry in December, 2009. He fulfilled his wife's dream of moving to St. Augustine, FL. Although not his favorite place, he learned to love it. Dad was always a ROCK. He had a love of NASCAR (especially the #3), tackling any job and sharing that wisdom to his children. He also loved his beloved pets Casper, Snoopy, Charmin (Precious), Cinder, Jaws and feathered friend KiKi. His favorite saying to his children was "When you leaving?" (CLM). He always made an effort to sit outside with us on the porch and was the voice of reasoning.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his twin daughters Robin and Roberta, sister Betty Burger and a dear beloved friend Art Smyklo.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years and caregiver, Beverly Claire Blose; daughters Bonita Edinger (Stephen, Erie), Debra Blose (Tampa) and son Robert Scott Blose (West Palm Beach). He is also survived by a sister Ruth Maynard; Grandchild Jeremy Blose (Ashley) and great grandchild Annalise Rose.
Our hearts are truly broken by this loss. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Neptune Society of Jacksonville, FL (904-701-7522) is assisting us with funeral arrangements.
