Bob and Berta moved around a bit since Bob was serving in the Army, returned to Toppenish and then finally settled in Bellevue, WA. Bob and Berta had two children, Robin and Jim. In 1991 Roberta happily moved back to Toppenish to be with both children while they in turn had her six grandchildren. In 1993, Roberta married Richard Story and resided in Zillah for many years.
Mom enjoyed being a member of Beta Sigma Phi and United Methodist Church. During mom's life she was known for her love of family and wonderful dear friends. She loved a good laugh, loved to dance, travel, and RV with friends. Roberta was a wonderful cook, loved dinner parties, setting beautiful tables, holding babies and shopping where she always got the best bargains. She was happiest making plans for whatever fun was coming next.
She was proceeded in death by her parents James and Margaret Maloney, and sisters Dolores Martin and Cora Hovde.
She is survived by her daughter Robin Kramer Toppenish, son James (Kimm) Ward Wapato, grandchildren, Kyle (Cierra) Kramer Spokane, Sawyer (Alicia) Ward Vancouver, WA, Kelly Jo Kramer Seattle, Jakob Ward Seattle, Nicholas Ward Minnesota, Hannah (Uzziel) Mendoza Toppenish, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at Colonial Funeral Home, 228 S Alder Street, Toppenish Monday November 7, 2022 9-11am with funeral service at 11am. Graveyard service to follow at Zillah Cemetery.
