On Saturday, November 5, 2022, Albert W. Baker (Jerry) left this earth, to be with His Lord, at the age of 88.
Albert was born in Tulia, Texas on April 26,1934 to Thomas Monroe Baker and Grace Eden. He had three sisters and two brothers, Mildred, Lela, Ann, Howard Wayne and identical twin, Jack.

He served in 1956 in the US Army. Then he served in the Army reserve from 1958-1962. He served our country in Vietnam from 1968-1969 as a Petty Officer First Class mechanic for the United States Navy Seabee. He also served in the US Navy Reserve from 1969-1986. He retired from the Texas Highway Department in 1984 after 20 years of service.

On November 14, 1974 he married the love of his life, Nelda Baker whom he was married to for 34 years until her passing in 2011.

Albert was a very talented artist who had a wide variety of skills. He was a painter of dolls, leather worker, award winning wood carver, wood burning artist, chinese paper artist, chinese paper folding and many other skills. He loved going for long drives, shooting at the range, being with friends and family but above all he loved to make people smile.

Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda.

He is survived by children, Shawn Baker, Terri Stroub, Jo Ellen Seaver, Christopher Seaver, and Sandy Whatley as well as his grandchildren, Eddie Tackett, Kalyn Bryant, John Michael Washburn and Julie Seitz.

His huge heart and his ornery personality will be missed by all who knew it.
