Born Feb. 12, 1916, in Russell, Mass., she was the daughter of George and Ann (Tucker) Pierce. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Eaton, having sung with the church choir for over 50 years; and a member of the Preble County Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth E. Wehrly, in January 1968; brother, Buce Pierce; and grandson, Greg Wehrly.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Norma Wehrly of Dothan, Ala., Jack and Mary Jane Wehrly of Naples, Fla., and Hank and Suzanne Wehrly of Eaton; grandchildren, Mark Wehrly, Kelli Wehrly, Debbie Floyd, Kim Bowsman, Scott Wehrly, Kevin Wehrly and Amanda Denlinger; great-grandchildren, Chase Wehrly, Coleman Wehrly and Henry Wehrly; a great-great-grandchild, Leah Wehrly; sisters, Alice Britton of Westfield, Mass., and Alberta Abbey of Feeding Hills, Mass; sisters-in-law, Virginia Wehrly and Ruth Pierce; numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at noon Friday, Feb. 3, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, 226 W. Main St., Eaton, with Pastor Reggie Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton senior Citizens Center, 800 E. St. Clair St., Eaton, OH 45320.
