Officer Arthur C. Rebe received his commission on June 27, 1960, and entered the Saint Louis Police Academy. Officer Rebe retired on July 2, 1990, having served 30 years and 5 days of faithful and dedicated service. His last assignment was in the 2nd district.

Officer Rebe was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the United States Navy. He achieved the rank of a CS-2, which is a Culinary Specialist 2nd Class.

Arthur Carl Rebe, age 91, of San Antonio, Texas, and formerly of St. Louis, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 5, 2022. He was born on September 22, 1931, in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma; his parents, Robert C. Rebe and Mary (Stecher) Rebe; and his brother, Robert J. Rebe.

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Arthur graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1950. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. While attending college, he met the love of his life, Norma Louise Ross, and they married on March 28, 1959. They were married for 63 years. Arthur worked as a St. Louis Police Officer in the 2nd District for 30 years. He loved playing handball in his spare time.

Arthur is survived by his son of Universal City, Texas; and his daughter of St. Louis, Missouri. He is also survived by six grandchildren: and four great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service at Ft. Sam Houston Cemetery on November 21, 2022, at 11:00 am for immediate family only.
