Michael Patrick Hynson Jr., age 61, of Bear, passed on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
Mike was born in Wilmington, DE; son of the late Barbara Anne Pankowski and Michael Patrick Hynson Sr.
He graduated from McKean High School and went on to become a prosperous entrepreneur and owner of multiple successful businesses. Mike's most recent and notable business endeavors have included Thousand Acre Farm and Delaware Business Systems. In his free time, Mike loved deer and waterfowl hunting, off-shore fishing, spending summers in Bowers Beach, DE and Ocean City, MD. He enjoyed being with his friends and family, and time on his prized boat, the Reel Hard.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Susan Anne Hynson; his sons and their spouses, Michael Patrick Hynson III and Devon, Travis Joseph Hynson and Meredith; daughter, Shannon Leigh Hynson and Cory; stepson, Douglas K. Hopple; stepdaughter, Carly B. Hopple grandson, Noah Patrick Hynson; brothers, Jefferey Hynson and Michael Linton; nephew, Christopher Hynson, and numerous close family friends whom all loved Mike.
A visitation for Mike will take place on Monday, November 14, 2022, at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808, where friends and family may visit from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. with a Memorial Service following at 1 P.M.
Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Michael's name to Ducks Unlimited Appoquinimink Chapter.
