Azure Dea Starkes, 24, of Heber, passed away on October 13, 2007, in Winslow, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Azure, a secretary for Hook Consulting, was born June 9, 1983 in Mesa. She grew up and attended school in Heber, graduating from Mogollon High School in 2002. Following high school she moved, first to the valley, then to Springville, UT. She returned to Arizona in May of 2003 and she met Brian Starkes, they married June 26, 2004 in the Snowflake Temple. Following their marriage, they made their home in Heber and she began working for Hook Consulting. Brian and Azure welcomed a son, Eric Andrew, on April 26, 2007. She loved playing sports, coaching, music and singing. Her greatest loves in life were Brian and Eric and she cherished being a wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband, Brian Starkes, of Heber; son, Eric Andrew Starkes, of Heber; parents, Keith and Donna Bigler of Heber; 4 sisters, Lori Baker of Queen Creek, Deni Berger of Spanish Fork, UT, Jessica DeSpain of Gilbert, Kati E. Bigler of Tempe; 1 brother, Benjamin Bigler of Mesa; paternal grandmother, Vera Bigler of Heber, and her maternal grandmother, Clovis Bowers also of Heber.
