Funeral services for Arveria Adkins will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel with Rev. William Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Adkins Cemetery at Pluto.
Mrs. Adkins died Tuesday at 8:43 p.m. Tuesday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born June 12, 1928 in Raleigh County she was a daughter of the late Walter and Della Richmond Adkins. A lifelong resident of Raleigh County, she attended Log Church.
Survivors include a son, Ray Adkins of Shady Spring; a daughter, Mrs. Roselee Browf of Mullens; three brothers, Arlo of Hampton, Va., Phillip of Georgia and Roland of Hinton; four sisters, Mrs Beulah Hall of Jumping Branch, Mrs. Iris Lucas of Daniels, Mrs. Oday Jessup of South Carolina and Mrs. Lila Hopkins of Beckley.
