Norma grew up in Quinlan until the age of 5 years then, with her family, moved to Arlington, Texas. She attended the only school in Arlington at the time until the 8th grade.
Norma married Arthur Charles Abbott on April 17, 1951. Together they raised 4 children in Arlington on Sprockett Dr. Norma worked for and retired from K-Mart in 1996.
Norma is superseded in death by her husband, Arthur Charles Abbott, daughter, Norma Sheran Moffett, and son, James A. Abbott.
Norma is survived by her son, Charles Ray Abbott and his wife, Kay Abbott, son Michael Joe Abbott and his wife, Vickie Abbott, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
A visitation for Norma will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A graveside service will occur Friday, October 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
A catered reception will follow immediately after the graveside service at Moore Funeral Home Front Reception Room.
