George Buford Carter was born on November 11, 1904 in Franklin County, Tennessee, the son of Eugene Henry Carter (1877–1942) and his wife Mary Jane (Tomlin) Carter (1876–1942).
He was married to Gladys Cowley.
Working at Purity Dairies and living on Neely Bend Road in Nashville, Davidson County, George was 60 years old and married when he had a coronary thrombosis and died on March 28, 1965 at Madison Sanitarium & Hospital. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison {city, not county}.
