He was an Eagle Scout and worked as an executive for the Boy Scouts of America, retiring as the Assistant Regional Director of the Northeast Region.
Surviving is his wife, Leola Helen Snyder Ball; children, Rev. Charles Ball, Jr. (Darleena), Linda Gurley (John), Jeffrey Ball (Cherie), and Deborah Lane (Gary); 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
