Charles was a US Marine Veteran and served as President Harry Truman Inauguration Guard during his Presidential Inauguration Ceremony. Charles loved to hunt, go camping with his family, make stained glass items to give to family members, grew award-winning orchids, and was an avid photographer. He was an Eagle Scout and worked as an executive for the Boy Scouts of America, retiring as the Assistant Regional Director of the Northeast Region.
Surviving is his wife, Leola Helen Snyder Ball; children, Rev. Charles Ball, Jr. (Darleena), Linda Gurley (John), Jeffrey Ball (Cherie), and Deborah Lane (Gary); 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
