Charles Dusenbury, son of William Dusenbury by his wife Sarah Lane, born, according to his gravestone at Putnam Valley, in 1769, died 28 October, 1839. He married (i), 8 August, 1791, Sarah Conklin; and (2), 15 September, 1805, Elizabeth, daughter of Moses Hadden. She died 14 June, 1863, aged seventy-seven. His children were : Nancy Dusenbury, Charles Dusenbury, Isaac Dusenbury, Mary I. Dusenbury, and Samuel Dusenbury, the latter of whom married and removed to South Carolina after the war of 1812.

"The Willows" [...] on the Peekskill Hollow Road, was once the home of Elizabeth and Charles Dusenbury, son of William of Peekskill, who with his brother Col. Moses Dusenbury, Revolutionary War soldier, settled in this area about 1750.
