CLEARFIELD - George Q. Allred, 80, died Sunday night at his home. (20 Feb 1955).
Born Dec. 17, 1874, in Spring City, son of James Tillman Sanford and Christena Anderson Allred. Married Mamie Mary Elmer June 9, 1909 in Vernal. Was elder in Clearfield First Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Educated in Spring City. Came to Clearfield in 1941. Homesteader in Uintah Basin. Surviving are widow, nine sons and two daughters, Fenton, Oliver, Cloy, Raymond C., Delos, Roland, Rex, Quentin, Clearfield; Earvin, Ogden; Mrs. Elmira Roberts, Vernal; Mrs. Irene Henrie, Neola; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a brother and three sisters, Heber, Salina; Mrs. Elmira Aikens, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Clarissa Brown, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Harry (Myrtle) Hansen, Evanston, Wyo. Funeral Wednesday at 9 a.m. in Clearfield First Ward by Bishop Anthon Montgomery. Friends call at Sunset Mortuary Tuesday, 6 to 9 p.m. Burial in Hayden.
Additional services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in ward at Neola, Duchesne County, by Bishop Richard O. Olson.
