Kezia married Jacob Bowersock and they were the parents of Sarah Catherine, Sylvester, Martha (Mattie), Samuel, Daniel, Mary Ella, and James.

Kezia died at the very young age of 35. Her husband Jacob remarried and moved to another state where he and his wife had several more children, and where he passed away. Jacob had about 17 children between his two wives.

My late husband Kenneth Paul Syx who was the great grandson of Kezia and Jacob Bowersock and I visited Nelsonville's Connett Cemetery in 1973 and took the picture of her tombstone, plus a rubbing, and the picture of the entrance to the cemetery at the same time. Her tombstone reads as follows: "Kersia, wife of Jacob Bowersock, died Apr. 16, 1868, age 35 yrs. 2 mos, 19 days"
