Edith L. (Meade) McAllister, 88, of Pottstown, PA, widow of Elhanan M. McAllister, passed away on Friday at ProMedica Nursing & Rehabilitation, Pottstown, PA.
Born in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late John J. Meade and the late Anna E. (Christman) Meade.
Edith worked in the office at Weitzenkorn's Men Store, Pottstown for many years until her retirement.
She is survived by a son, Robert A. McAllister and his wife Carol, Reading; a daughter, JoAnn M. Pede, Pottstown; a brother, James Meade and his wife Cheryl, Douglassville; two sisters, Millie Alderfer, Limerick, Judy wife of Robert Fontana, Boyertown; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon L. Pugh.
A graveside service at Limerick Garden of Memories will be private at the convenience of the family. Officiating will be Reverend Barry L. Moyer. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories.
