Funeral for Elizabeth Elvira Daems Vetter will be Thursday in Ennis, Mont. She died Saturday of congestive heart failure in her Vancouver home. She was 98.

Mrs. Vetter was born in a log cabin in Varney, Mont., on June 23, 1890, and had lived in Vancouver since 1969. She retired after working in restaurants in Whitehall, Ennis and Butte, Mont. Mrs. Vetter was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sons and Daughters of the Montana Pioneers, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Ennis, Rebecca Lodge of Manhattan, Mont., and Hotel and Restauranat Employees Union Local 457 of Butte.

Surviving Mrs. Vetter are her sons, Frank of Bellevue, Wash., and John of Torrance, Calif.; daughters, Maisie Oster of Vancouver, Harriet Wortman of Boulder, Mont., and Loula Rickard of Whitehall; sisters, Orlean Beeney of Seattle, Lenora Evans of Renton, Wash., and Sadie Cadman of Lander, Wyo.; 15 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; 70 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchild.

Mrs. Vetter was preceded in death by her husband, George; four brothers, two sisters and seven of her children.

Burial will be in Ennis.
