Italian politician. Member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Republic from 1992 to 2013, he was a leader of the Northern League, a party who advocated Padanian nationalism. He served as Minister of the Interior of the Italian Republic from 1994 to 1995 and from 2008 to 2011. Finally, he was President of Lombardy from 2013 to 2018.
