Dolores "Sunny" Catherine Dirkman
May 27, 1933 - March 4, 2022

Dolores "Sunny" Catherine Dirkman, 88, Green Bay, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022. She was born on May 27, 1933, in the town of Kossuth, WI to John and Caroline (Zimmer) Dirkman.

Sunny was very sensitive to the suffering of others and lived the evangelical virtues of poverty. Her concerns were about disadvantaged children and people who suffered at the hands of violence and mistreatment.

Sunny was an avid gardener and outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed daily walks to take in all of nature's beauty. Education was important to Sunny. She was often found reading and knitting in her spare time.

Her extended family treated her like a sister. Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Wachholz; brother-in-law, Steve Clingan; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Sunny was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Margie Clingan, Lolly (Leonard) Schleis, Leo (Marcella) Dirkman; brother-in-law, Norman Wachholz; and nieces, Diane Schleis and Sherry Wachholz.

Visitation will be held at St. Anne Parish, 202 S. Packer Dr., Francis Creek WI, from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12; followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

Words cannot express the gratitude extended from our hearts to Sunny's dearest friends, Father John and David Walters. Special thanks to the ER and 4th floor Bellin staff for their kind and compassionate care.
