Charles Edward Butler, age 88 of Crockett, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022. He was born July 18, 1934 in Weldon, Texas to parents, H. C. Butler and Kathryne Thompson Butler. Charles enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska. He married Betty Jo Price on December 21, 1954. He joined the Houston Police Department in 1958, retiring after 21 years. Brother Charles pastored for many years in different churches including, Apple Springs Baptist Church, Lake Arrowhead Baptist Church, and Pennington Baptist Church. After retiring from full time ministry, he became a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Crockett. He loved hunting, fishing, studying God's word and teaching others about redemption thru Christ.
He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Paula Kaye Millican; parents, H. C. and Kathryne Butler.

Memorial services for Charles Edward Butler will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Central Baptist Church.
