Wayne R. Baker age 77 of Emmet, Arkansas passed away on November 21,2022 at Baptist Health in Arkadelphia. Mr. Baker was born in Cape Cod Massachusetts on December 31,1944 to Florence Mary and Alfred Collins Baker, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Emmet, Arkansas. Baker worked at Tyson Foods until his retirement, he was on the Emmet School board for 12 years, he served on the Emmet Fire Dept for 30 years, and was on Emmet City Council for approximately 30 years. Mr. Baker also served in the U.S. Navy on USS Page County during the Vietnam War he was active 3 years and 4 years reserve with honorable discharge with E5 ranking. He was also a founding member of the Ark La Tex Roadrunners car club. Wayne enjoyed his free time with his family and friends and loved his fur baby Zeus.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 51 years Nina Baker and his brother Ronald Baker. Survivors include three sons Wayne Allen Baker (Teresa), Richard Lynn Baker both of Emmet, Arkansas John Rogers Baker (Jessica) of East Camden, Arkansas. Two grandsons Trey Baker (Christie) of Emmet, Arkansas and Travis Baker (Stacey) of Pyatt, Arkansas. One step grandson Darin Vest East Camden, Arkansas. Two sisters in laws Edith Shankles of Lake Village, Arkansas and Linda Martin (David) of Emmet, Arkansas many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The Baker family requests in lieu of flowers to make memorial donation to Ayer's Cemetery ℅ Eva Morehead 1440 Nevada 5 Rosston, Arkansas 71858

The family will receive visitors at the family home in Emmet, Arkansas. Mr. Bakers' wishes was a private graveside service held at a later date.
