He was born June 30, 1947 in Hagerstown, MD. He was the son of the late O'Byrne Jennings and Frances (Nalley) Jennings.
Jimmy was a retired Firefighter with the Fairfax County, VA Fire and Rescue Department with 14 years of service.
He was a member of Rock Spring Church, Kearneysville, WV
He graduated from Charles Town High School, class of 1965 and was a member of the Independent Fire Company, Ranson.
He is survived by his son, Jamison "J.C." Jennings and wife Tammy, of Kearneysville; grandchildren, Bethany Propst and husband Jackson, Isabella Jennings and their mother Christine Bowman and husband Brian; four step grandchildren Nikki Gantz and husband Kevin, Chase Davidson and wife Scarlett, Brady Davidson and Georgia Davidson; two step great grandchildren Jacob Gantz and Ryan Gantz; nieces Kathy C. Osborn and husband Pat, Karen C. Cowden, and Kelly C. Zimmerman and husband Wynn; nephews Donald L. Clipp Jr. and wife, Cindy, Douglas L. Clipp; David L. Clipp and wife, Rose.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Clipp and Eddie Clipp.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022 at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Ranson with Ben Williams officiating.
Interment will be private at the St. Luke's Episcopal Church Cemetery, Brownsville, MD.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at the funeral home.
