Marie Josephine Aldighieri, of Goshen, NH, passed away on January 30, 2021. Mimi was born on January 29, 1929 in Ridgefield, NJ to Jennie (Ferrara) and Joseph Aldighieri.

Mimi grew up in a loving, busy household filled with extended family gatherings, music, community service, and Italian meals. Marie loved dolls, hand crafts, roller skating, dancing and singing to 50's music (especially Let Me Call You Sweetheart), ice cream, and more than anything, sparkly jewelry.

Mimi adored her sister-in-law, Patricia Aldighieri, and spent much of her time with Pat's children and later, Pat's grandchildren. Pat and Marie each claimed to have kept the other awake by singing loudly during long drives to visit Marie's brother (and Pat's husband), Rudy, while he was away at college.

Mimi joined Rudy and Pat in their homes in VT and NH beginning in 1990. She enjoyed social gatherings and played bingo; participated in Health Care and Rehab Services programs; swam, worked, and attended camp with her friend, Colleen; and served coffee at Mt. Ascutney Hospital. Mimi brought humor, a little harmless chaos, and endless affection to Rudy's and Pat's homes and brightened every day with an "I love you."

In 2010, Mimi joined Steve and Ruby Guyette's loving home in Goshen, NH, where she was a joy and an upbeat presence in the household. Mimi's family is ever grateful for the care and love Steve and Ruby provided her. They are also grateful for the kindness and care Mimi received from the wonderful nurses and chaplain at New London Hospital.

Marie Aldighieri is predeceased by her parents, Jennie and Joseph Aldighieri, her brother, Joseph Aldighieri, her two half-sisters Rose (Lou) Ottignon and Peggy (Elmer) Kirchner, and her sister-in-law Patrica Aldighieri.

She is survived by her brother Rudolph Aldighieri, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will have a celebration of life, to be announced.
