Charlie had worked at Walsworth Publishing Company. He was a member of the St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and had served on the parish council, St. Bonaventure Cemetery Board, and Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Tri County Shrine, Eagles, and a former member of the Marceline High School Board and chain gang, and Marceline Fire Department.
He is survived by two daughters, Sue Ann Gordon of Marceline, Cathy Jo Dow and Paul of Overland Park, KS, six grandchildren, Nathan and Shelli Gordon, Jacob and Jill Gordon, Ryan and Sara Gordon, Blain Gordon, Nicholas and Cami Ward, and Dustin Ward and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bonnie, daughter Jackie Ward, son-in-law David Gordon and son-in-law Larry Ward.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline with burial in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Marceline. A Masonic service will be held at 9:30 AM with visitation immediately following until time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Bonaventure Cemetery and mailed to 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658
