Abbie was the daughter of Edward who was killed during the Civil War and Hope Winslow and the younger sister of Sarah Winslow. Her father Edward was listed as the post master in Truro, MA. on her birth records. In 1865, she and her mother and sister are listed on the state census in Truro, MA. Her mother is a widow. Her father's military records have Swampscott, MA. as his home address. By the time of Abbie's passing, mother and both daughters are living in Swampscott and Abbie became ill with Scarlet Fever. Her name is not on the gravestones found there for her mother and sisters. She could have been buried in one of the children's plots or in the section of the cemetery reserved for patients who expired from contagious diseases. Records before 1870 are, unfortunately, scarce I have been told by the Cemetery Dept. I have used the photo of the stone from her mother's burial plot as her own. Her name is not on it, however. Her father is buried in Washington, DC where he died. RIP.
