On Wednesday, November 23rd, Marilyn Damroth of Midlothian, Virginia, a beloved wife, mother and friend, passed away at Johnston Willis Hospital. She was eighty-six years old. Born to Frederick and Adele Bamberger, Marilyn graduated from Fontbonne Hall Academy in Brooklyn, New York and worked as a Realtor. In 1957, on a resort trip in upstate New York, she met the love of her life, Frank Damroth and the two wed in 1958. Marilyn and Frank lived in Princeton, New Jersey while raising their family and then relocated to Williamsburg, Virginia in 1993. They were together for nearly 60 years when he passed in 2017.
Marilyn was an active participant at the Lifelong Learning Institute in Chesterfield, Virginia and a member of Church of the Epiphany. She is survived by her four children, Donna (Mike) Harkness, Lynne (Richard) Cohen, Frank Damroth Jr., and Christine (Ken) Dey; and grandchildren, Mallory (Charles) Wines, Michael Harkness, Laura Dey, and Lisa (Kamil) Adamiec.

Please join us celebrating her life on Monday, November 29, 2022 between 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 14301 Ashbrook Pkwy, Chesterfield, VA 23832 and at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 8901 Winterpock Rd. at 1:00 p.m. for her Mass. Burial will be at Virginia Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lifelong Learning Institute Scholarship Fund at 13801 Westfield Rd in Midlothian, VA 23113.
