She had lived in Corpus Christi for 54 years, previously of Clegg, Texas. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Gerald R. Wocum [Jerald Yocum] and a great grandson, John Scanlan. She was survived by two daughters, Louise Gunter and Ella Belle Byrd, both of Corpus Christi; one son, Jesse R. Stuart of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Geneva Wiginton of Sinton, Texas, Viola Huebinger of Taft, Texas, and Clara Sammons of Sandia, Texas; and one brother, Joseph Gaugler of Dickinson, Texas.
