Mr. Gerald Glyn McGee, age 84 of Bethany, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022.
Born Thursday, January 27, 1938 in Chestnut, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his parents, Amy Blake McGee and Orange E. McGee; sisters, Royce Villaneuva and Leatrice Shook; brothers, Carlson McGee and his twin Merle McGee.
Mr. McGee enjoyed deer hunting, beekeeping, gardening, and bird watching.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Dewanna McGee; daughters, Alicia Denise McGee and Rita Lavone McGee Blamley; sister, Lanell Niten; grandchildren, Dylan McGee Pickering, Collette McGee Pickering, and Blake Adrian Bramley; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Southern Funeral Home, from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Cypress Creek Cemetery with Rev. Nick Verret officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jeremy McGee, Trey O'Neal, Blake Bramley, Michael Niten, Tommy Niten, and James Fallis.
