It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Bradford "Brad" Pomeroy Case, a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Brad left us to be with the Lord on December 5, 2022, passing peacefully at Hartford Hospital, in Hartford, Conn., at the age of 84.

Brad was born on January 30, 1938, in Hartford, Conn. The son of Marion Sybil (Pomeroy) Case and Albro Case, he grew up in East Windsor Hill, Hartford, CT.

At the age of 22, Brad enlisted in the United States Navy and served four years of active duty. His last duty station was Patrol Squadron Eleven (VP-11), Brunswick, Maine. As a VP-11 aircrewman, he frequently traveled across the United States and internationally in support of missions to protect America. He highly valued his military service, attaining the rank of Aviation Ordnanceman Second Class (AO2) upon his discharge in 1966.

Brad is predeceased by his second wife, Lois Isobel (Oesterling) Case, his eldest son Christopher Case, and his nephew, Lee von Seldeneck. He is survived by his youngest son, Timothy, his wife; his granddaughter Evy, his sister, Priscilla, and brother-in-law, Woody, and his two nieces.

Loved ones and friends remember Brad as being a gentleman who greatly enjoyed nature and often spent time outdoors with friends and family, often mentoring local youth during field trips to parks, conservatories, and museums. He was always cracking a joke, bringing a smile to all those around him. He frequently spoke about how much he loved his family and was especially fond of his sons, granddaughter, and sister.

Brad was very active in the veteran community and attended many veterans' coffeehouses and events sponsored by the Somers Department of Veterans Affairs (SDVA), in Somers, Conn. Brad was loved and cared for by the SDVA staff and will be sorely missed. May the Lord hold him in the palm of his hand.

A service honoring the life of Bradford Pomeroy Case will be held in the Committal Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, in Agawam, Mass.

His burial with full Military Honors will follow in the Committal Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street in Agawam, Mass., on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 3:00 PM. Please come and honor his life and pay your respects.
