Anna E. (McLin) Stilwell, 94, of Anderson, passed away on December 3, 2022, at Sugar Fork Crossing.
She was born on March 18, 1928, in Bicknell, Indiana, the daughter of Laura Belle (Beaman) and Dewey J. McLin.
She graduated from Edwardsport High School.
Anna and her husband, Eugene Stilwell, resided in Anderson since 1952. She owned and operated her own beauty shop out of her home for many years, was an active member of the Century and a Half Club for over 20 years, and belonged to the General Motors Craft Club for 10 years. Anna enjoyed working in crafts and won several blue ribbons awards for her crocheted and hand-made works.
She was a charter member of My Time Gym in Pendleton and exercised there regularly even into her 90s. Members looked up to her as a role model. She loved to take bus tours with family and her many friends. She attended the Pendleton First United Methodist Church.
Anna is survived by her loving daughter, Marlene "Kitty" (William) Tilton; son, Russell (Margie) Stilwell; special granddaughter, Marianna (Tony) Gill; sisters, Barbara Mercer and Shirley Schiettmer; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Mary Joan Cross, Lucille McCord, and Dodie Ballart; brother, Dewey Eldo McLin; daughter, Patricia J. Stilwell Dungan; granddaughter, Loretta L. Dungan Youngblood; grandson, William Dungan; and great-grandson, Jeremy Youngblood.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street Anderson, IN.
Services will follow visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in the Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
