Mrs. Martha Ann Stroud 91, died at the home of her son, Sam Stroud, Fair Play, about, 8:30 yesterday morning, after a long illness. Although, a native of, Dallas County, she had spent most of her life in and, near Fair Play.
Preceding her in death children, Iva, Shelton, Florence, & Bert. Also, half sisters, Mary Jane Glispey Mashburn and, Sarah Glispey, half brother, John Thomas Glispey.
Three other son's survive, Andrew, Elick, and John Stroud, all of, Norborne. She also, leaves a daughter, Mrs. Nannie Scurlock of, Bolivar, a half sister, Nancy Frances "Sissie" Glispey Pierce Williams, two half brother's, Alfred Glispey & Joseph "Jode" - "Joe" Glispey.
Funeral services will be held at 2 O'Clock tomorrow afternoon at the Fair Play Methodist Church, with the Rev. C. L. Burner, officiating. Burial will be in Barren Creek Cemetery, under the direction of, Barker, Erwin & Blue of, Fair Play.
