Linda M. Baxter, 75, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away peacefully December 4th, 2022, at Portneuf Medical Center, due to complications from Pneumonia. She had a courageous battle and wasn't ready to leave, but God needed another beautiful angel in Heaven.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Michael E. Baxter, her sister Irene Bailey, and her parents James C and Utahna Anderson. Linda is survived by her two sons Jarrod and James; and her three grandchildren.

Linda May Baxter was born October 6, 1947 in Hailey, Idaho to James and Utahna Anderson. She grew up and attended schools in Arco, Idaho and graduated in 1965. Linda attended Idaho State University shortly after graduating High school, and obtained a certificate in Cosmetology.

Linda was no stranger to hard work and started working at a very young age, helping her dad James in the A&A Market. She wore many hats over the years, including working at the INL as a Computer Operator, Cooking in Arco and Pocatello at various places, and as a 911 Dispatch Operator for the Butte County Sheriff's office.

From the time Linda was born, she always had a way of bringing happiness and joy to others. Linda could strike up a conversation with a complete stranger and would have a new friend by the end of that interaction. She could make anyone laugh. Linda enjoyed a variety of hobbies including cross stitch, needlepoint, and camping to name a few. She also enjoyed singing and dancing as well, and had a few favorite musical artists including Marvin Gaye, Al Green, and Michael Jackson. Linda was well known for her cooking and had a passion for it (her mother was an amazing cook). She also loved any and all animals. She would often joke about building a giant shelter, so she could save every animal she could. That's the loving and kind person she was. Linda always enjoyed helping others and if she could bring a smile upon their face, it made her day.

Linda met the love of her life, Michael Baxter while watching him play guitar. It was music to her ears and heart, and the two married on April 8th, 1972 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They spent 43 wonderful and amazing years together. Michael and Linda moved back to Arco, shortly after having their first son Jarrod and then James came two years later. Linda resided with her family in Arco, before moving to Pocatello in 2001. She then spent a few years working at Fred Meyer as a Cook, before leaving the workforce. Linda spent her remaining years spending time with her husband and sons. She discovered the world of Hallmark later on and spent every year looking forward to the Christmas shows (it used to drive her two sons and daughter in law nuts). They would often ask "How many times have you seen those shows and movies now mom?" She would reply "I love them and they never get old to me."

We will greatly miss Linda and remember all the wonderful years we had with her. She was a loving mother, a kind friend, but most of all a beautiful person. Linda never enjoyed goodbyes, so this is not goodbye, this is "See you later Mom."

Keep smiling, keep laughing, and most of all keep shining on. We will always love and miss you Momma.....
