Services for Addie Cornelia Beasley of 35 Madison Street, Asheville, who died Friday, will be at 2pm Thursday in Ora Street Church of God Holiness. The Rev. James A Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Violet Hill Cemetery. A native of Cross Hill, SC, she had lived in Buncombe County for several years. She was the wife of the Rev. Cordell Beasley who died in 1944.
Surviving are three daughters, Early Beasley of Greenville, NC, Asheville; two sons, Cordell Beasley of Toledo, OH, and Julious Beasley of East Orange, NJ; 10 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 pm Wednesday at Hart Funeral Service, where the body will remain until an hour before services. At other times, the family will be at 104 Washington Road.
