Mr. Ferguson was born in Madison County and was a son of the late Richard Pearson Ferguson and Mae Belle Ferguson. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Purdue and a brother Jack Ferguson. He served with the US Marine Corps and was retired after 35 years with American Enka (B.A.S.F.).
Surviving are one son, Joey Ferguson and his wife Margaret of Canton; a granddaughter Ashley Chambers and a grandson, Andrew Ferguson; his special friend Dorothy L. Rhodes; six sisters, Maggie Gunde of Baltimore, MD, Betty King of Clyde, Lucy Hardy of Bel-Air, MD, Blanche Rogers of Clyde, Christine Garens of Waynesville and Martha Ferguson of Clyde; and one brother Bob Ferguson of Clyde.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
