Sergeant Matthew Raymond Locke - (8229246) age 33 of Bellingen, Western Australia was killed during a fire fight with Taliban forces in Oruzgan, Afghanstan during his second tour of duty. He was the 2nd Australian Soldier to be killed in the line of duty.
In December of 2006 he was awarded the Medal for Gallantry (MG) for outstanding leadership and bravery under sustained fire in Afghanistan. He leaves behind a wife and son. May He Rest In Peace.
