She was born in Wilkes-Barre on May 12, 1917 and was a daughter of Richard and Naomi (Williams) Harris. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fairless Hills and was employed by the Pennsbury School District for 15 years prior to her retirement on June 6, 1979.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Brinley F. Amos, who departed this life on March 31, 2000; and three siblings, Richard Harris Jr., Mary Lewis and Hannah Burgit.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery Chapel, Hanover Township with interment following. The Reverend Carol E. Coleman will officiate.
Friends may call Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m and Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
