Mary Elizabeth (Daisy) Monsey was born in Star, Texas to Absolom and Mary Rebecca Williams Monsey. She married John Perry Eakin Sr. July 13, 1898 in Lampasas Texas.
The couple moved to Hale County Texas in 1900 where they raised their family and lived in the Running Water Community for 35 years.
They also lived in Abilene TX for several years. John died in 1948. Daisy later moved to McGregor TX where she lived until her death in 1963.
She was the mother of three sons, Ward, O'keefe and John and three daughters, Coila, Eva Hoover and Mary Cantrell as well as a daughter and son who died in infancy.
