"JESSIE READ SHEPPARD, 82, of Tampa, died Tuesday. A native of Alachua County, she had lived in Tampa for five years and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by a sister, Lela Watkins of Trenton; and numerous nieces and nephews. R.T. Blount Funeral Homes, Tampa Chapel."
Jessie was a sister to Dorcas Carver next to whom she was buried.
Jessie's parents were Rosetta Iris McKinney and Jackson M. Brown (first, known as John R. Long)
