"Angelia L. "Ann" (Avery Abbott, 86, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at Parkwood Health Care Center in Lebanon."
"Born in Starke Co. on May 27, 1917, she was the daughter of Vern D. and N. Pearl (Johnson) Avery; they preceded her in death. She was married on Jan. 3, 1941, in Camden to Clayton A Abbott; he survives."
"She was raised in Burlington from an early age and graduated from Burlington High School in 1935. Following high school she attended the Chicago Art Institute. Prior to her marriage she worked in the telephone office at Burlington."
"Abbott was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and home maker. She enjoyed her family, crafts, gardening, antique dolls, and sewing."
"Memberships included First Baptist Church in Lebanon, Psi Iota Xi, the former Friendly City Garden Club, the former Craft Club and the former Gamma Home Economics Club."
"Additional survivors include a daughter ... one sister and one granddaughter."
"Visitation is 4 to 7 pm Tuesday at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N Lebanon St., Lebanon. Services are 10:30 am Wed. at Myers, the Reverends David E Grieger and Keith Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon."
