Store Owner in Great Kills

A funeral service for Alfred Cutting, Sr. native Islander who died unexpectedly Tuesday in his home at 25 Nelson avenue, Great Kills, will be held at 3:15 pm tomorrow in the McCallum Funeral Home, 48 Giffords lane, Great Kills, by the Rev. Henry J Cornish, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, Great Kills. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery, Rossville.

Mr. Cutting, who was born 50 years ago in Charleston, lived most of his life in Tottenville and Great Kills. He was graduated from Public School, Tottenville and Curtis High School.

RAN STORE 25 YEARS
With the exception of a period of several years during World Wars I and II when he was employed as a machinist in the Brooklyn Navy Yard and lived in Brooklyn, Mr. Cutting operated a furniture store at the Nelson avenue address. He was in business 25 years.

He was a life member of Nassau Lodge of Masons; Damacus Compandary, Knights Templars and Kismet Temple of Shriners. All these units are in Brooklyn.

Surviving are his wife, Elinor; three sons, Alfred, Jr; David and Bruce; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Cutting of 143 Main street; two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Frice and Mrs. Viola Kelly of Metuchen, NJ; two brothers, Walter G and Harold of Perth Amboy.
