Blankenship,aged 66 years,died at his home in the Williams community Wednesday after been in i'll health for a number of years from a complication of diseases. He was a prominent and successful farmer and was born and reared near Lafayette, being the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel M. Blankenship. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Haley Tucker Blankenship and three sons, Elbert Blankenship of Parson,Kansas, Earl Blankenship, Galen rural carrier and Homer Blankenship of Akron,Ohio. And two daughters, Mrs. Alvin Slone, residing with her mother and Mrs. James McGee of Nashville; seven grandchildren and four brothers, J.D.L. Blankenship of near Bowling Green,Ky., Dr. F.M. Blankenship of Hartsville, J.H. Blankenship of Steedman,Mo. and J.M. Blankenship of Glendale,California. Burial was in the Haysville Cemetery. The deceased was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
