---Margie loved playing basketball during her high school years and played on two district championship teams with the La Plata Lady Bulldogs. She learned to play the piano and was a Sunday school and Vacation Bible school teacher at the La Plata Baptist Church. She worked at several businesses in La Plata including Fouch's Food Mart and Gale Moore & Son Distributors. She also worked as a bookkeeper in Kirksville at Cable Com and then at Churchill Truck Lines until her retirement. She loved to sew and collect depression glassware. She was interested in world history and in genealogy and shared that interest with her daughter.

---Margie Warren, age 76, of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Sunday (April 29, 2001), at Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
---Margie was born on July 1, 1924, in La Plata, the only child of Earnest and Rosa Edna (Vose) Miller. On November 3, 1942, in La Plata, she was united in marriage to Howard Rex Hatfield, who preceded her in death. On March 16, 1952 in Perry, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Ralph Elton Warren, who also preceded her in death.
---She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Randall James Hatfield and Ronald Lee Hatfield.
---Margie is survived by one daughter, Marla Murphy and her husband Benny of rural Kirksville; four grandchildren, Marsha Murphy, Mary Murphy, Aaron James Hatfield and Randi Lynn Hatfield; one great grandson, Kyle James Hatfield, and other relatives and friends.
---Margie was a 1942 graduate of the La Plata High School and resided most of her adult life on a farm southwest of La Plata. She had resided the past 6 years at the Senior Citizens Apartments in La Plata. Margie had been employed for several years as a bookkeeper for Churchill Truck Lines in Kirksville before her retirement. Margie enjoyed sewing, studying World History, studying the Catastrophes of the World and genealogical discoveries.
---It was Margie's request to be cremated.
---Memorial graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (May 5, 2001), at the La Plata Cemetery with the Reverend Robert Douglas of Kirksville officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Elliott Funeral Home in Atlanta.
