Ryan (Geek, Ryno, Ry-man), forever 39, of Otho, Iowa, passed away peacefully at his home on December 12, 2022. Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at the Webster County Fairgrounds and Event Center. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Lehigh. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022, at the Webster County Fairgrounds and Event Center.

Ryan A. Grossnickle, the son of Darrel and Katherine (Paterson) Grossnickle, was born January 9, 1983, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Ryan graduated from Southeast Webster in 2001. Ryan played football, basketball, and golf in high school. He held a record in basketball for many years. Ryan was involved in many sports through the years. Ryan worked various jobs until he found what he loved doing and started his own business Ryan's house repairs. In the Summer he would be found hanging gutters. In the winter he would be found doing home repairs, remodeling, hot water heaters and chasing busted pipes and clogged sewers. His business was his baby, and he took pride in his work.

Ryan is survived by his children and the pride and joys of his life Aydan (meathead) Hofbauer, Kendalyn (Kennie Babes) Anderson of Otho. His parents Darrel and Kathy Grossnickle of Lehigh, His sister Erica Grossnickle of Lehigh. His nephews Tristan (The Dude) Ewing and his gf Marjie Selhaver and son Ryker (wee-man) all of Lehigh. Braxtan(Shitter) Steburg also of Lehigh. His Nieces Kalley (Pretty) Steburg of Lehigh and Oaklee (Brownie Babes) Sanchez of Corwith. Ryan is also survived by the love of his life Shawna (Shawna Babes) Hankins of Otho. Ryan is also survived by his beloved dogs Georgia, Evie, Chip, Sidney, and especially Wrigley. Also survived by his grandfather Darrel Grossnickle Sr (Sandy) of Fort Dodge. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins. As well as Shawna's parents, brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Doris and Francis Paterson, Shirley Grossnickle. Uncle Barry (fuzzy) Grossnickle. Cousins Anthony Grossnickle, Corey Grossnickle and Becky Joslin. Along with great grandparents, great aunts, and uncles.

At a young age Ryan got into MX racing. He won a district 22 Champion series and passed the love of dirt bikes and racing down to his nephews. Ryan loved anything that his kids, niece and nephew were involved in. He always showed up and gave them his knowledge. He was a little rough around the edges, but he loved his family more than anything. He was in a bowling league, dart league and golf league. He participated in many tournaments as well. Ryan loved to play cards as well and could be found gathered around a table playing with his buddies. Ryan loved to hit the casino. He just had the luck most of the time. He also enjoyed online sports betting with his nephew. Ryan loved racing and could be found tailgating Friday nights before the races at sports park raceway. Ryan's recent new hobby was helping at the Webster County Speedway. He spent countless hours working the track and on race day he was found in the corner as the corner man. He had the best seat in the house as he was flagging and watching his boy in his first year of figure 8 racing. Ryan took the next step and filled in as the flag man when needed.

Ryan was a huge Iowa State fan and all his Hawkeye friends heard about it. Ryan went to many Iowa State games with his dad and nephew over the years. Ryan loved camping and could be found all summer long camping somewhere just enjoying life and family. Ryan loved music, singing and Budweiser ZERO!
