Brenda H. Bellman, 74, of Walkerton, passed away peacefully at 7:50 am, Friday, December 16, 2022 in her home.
Brenda was born on August 17, 1948 in Grand Haven, MI, the daughter of Lawrence and Lila (Siver) Harris.
On September 29, 2001, she married Joe Bellman in South Bend. He passed away on January 7, 2017.
Brenda is survived by six children, Sharon (Randy) Lemert, Adam (Christina) Yoder, Jeff (Renee) Bellman, Julie (Kevin) Dolen, Joe (Jayme) Bellman and Jeannie Bellman
and 16 grandchildren; Kaylee, Rachel, Bryce, Luke, Ezekiel, Joelle, Jillian, Jesse, Jenna, Janessa, Kylene, Katie, Jacob, Ashlynn, Eivin and Liam.
She is also survived by five siblings, Marlene Forsythe, Barb Dodson, Pat Harmsworth, Pam Bowser and Greg Harris.
She is preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Richard Harris, Joyce Bowser and Audrey Roberts.
Brenda worked as a Business Manager for many years, most recently at Corrective Care.
She attended North Liberty Church of Christ and spent her retirement in prayer ministry.
She enjoyed golf and Notre Dame Football.
Some of her business recognitions include being listed in Who's Who National Registry in 1998, listed in Two Thousand Notable American Women in 1990, listed in Who's Who of Women Executives in 1990, listed in Who's Who in Sales and Marketing in 1987 and Boss of the Year in the American Business Women's Association in 1985.
Every person who ever met her was so blessed to have known her. She made friends with everyone everywhere she went. She loved everyone as if they were her own family. She taught us all how to love with our whole hearts, how to make even sad moments happy, think creatively, live spontaneously, and most importantly to know how much Jesus loves us. She lived her life to be a blessing to others. It was her main purpose in life. She looked at this saying every day on her mirror and lived this mission: There is a marvelous story of a man who once stood before God, his heart breaking from the pain and injustice in the world. "Dear God" he cried out, "look at all the suffering, the anguish and distress in the world. Why don't you send help?" God responded, "I did send help, I sent you."
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm Monday, December 19, 2022 in North Liberty Church of Christ, 65225 State Road 23, North Liberty, IN 46554.
