Richard "Dick" A. Peterson, 80, of Marinette passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center – Bay Area. He was born on April 28, 1942, to the late George and Mildred (Herning) Peterson in Marinette and attended Marinette schools. On June 25, 1966, Dick married Patricia Heck at Zion Lutheran Church in Marinette. He had worked at Waupaca Foundry for over 30 years. Dick enjoyed golfing, fishing, and snowmobiling. He was known for telling his "dickie jokes" that were one step below "dad jokes".
Dick is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Peterson of Marinette; daughters, Cathy (Neil) Johnson of Peshtigo and Terry (Dan) Potter of Marinette; grandson, Bryan Johnson; brother, Don (Cheryl) Peterson; brothers in law: Jim Lindner, Harlan Suchan, and Mike Hartzheim; and sister in law, Joan Peterson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Brittany Johnson; brother, George Peterson; and sisters: Joanne Lindner, Marlene Suchan, and Bonnie Hartzheim.
Private family services will be held at Thielen Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo.
