William Meredith Buckner was the son of John Wesley Buckner and Nancy S Henry,(gravesite unknown, but probably Union Co, Arkansas) and was born in Union County, Arkansas, on March 25, 1855. He married Frances Harriet "Fannie" Lewis on December 4, 1881, in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana, and was a farmer by occupation.
